Splash’n Dash Dog Wash now open at Feeds’n Needs Berwick

Feeds’n Needs is excited to introduce F’nN pet parents to the brand new Splash’n Dash Dog Wash at our Berwick, Nova Scotia location.

The new Berwick store opened in November 2019, after moving from a previous location in town where the old store resided since April 1995. A new building gave the team a clean slate, and a new opportunity to expand their offerings to their Berwick community.

“We saw a great opportunity when we moved to explore the possibility of opening our own dog wash,” says Regional Retail Manager, Brian Wedge.  “It has always been something we have hoped to be able to offer our customers. After some planning, renovating and new branding, we were able to turn an available space into a fully equipped room where pet owners can comfortably and safely take washing their animals into their own hands.”

Feeds’n Needs had some help choosing the name “Splash’n Dash”. A contest was run online, where customers were able to submit suggestions to help decide upon a name that suited the wash. Retail teams across the Maritimes voted on their favorite submission and alas, the Splash’n Dash was born!

The room comes equipped with everything customers need to pamper their pet, including: step by step instructions, two full serve tubs, dryers and shampoo supplies. Washes are $10 for those who bring their own towel, and $12 with a towel included for customers to take home.

Customers are encouraged to ask for a Splash’n Dash Loyalty Card, where for every six dog washes purchased, they receive $10 off their next regular priced pet food purchase. There are currently no appointments necessary for the Splash’n Dash in Berwick.

Feeds’n Needs looks forward to incorporating more Splash’n Dash locations to service other store locations across the Maritimes. Stay tuned for more announcements. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek at a clip of the Splash’n Dash.

Feeds’n Needs Berwick relocates to 229 Commercial Street

Our Berwick location recently opened on 229 Commercial Street! With a new space, the store is bigger and better than ever. We chatted with our Berwick Store Manager Jeffery Brydon to hear some of his thoughts about the store’s transition and new look!

Q: Tell us about the old store location.

A: “We opened our store in Berwick in April of 1995. The location was on a side street with low visibility. The retail space was small and very limited in what we could do to improve our appearance. We were able to grow our business there until November 2019 when another building became available in Berwick with more space, much better location, and the chance to better serve our customers.”

Q: How did your team feel about moving the store?

A: The day we officially secured the new building was very exciting. From the very beginning, all of our staff were on board with the move, and each member played a very important role in making the move happen. We were given a clean slate to start with, which gave us a great opportunity to incorporate much of our new Feeds’n Needs branding and design elements. Our fresh new look was desperately needed for the store… it was a ton of work, but something we are all proud of!

Q: What is the best part of being in your new location?

A: The old location was small, hard to move around in with little space to expand our product offering. Compared to our new location, it’s like night and day! We have added great new product lines in-store and have created a better shopping environment to better serve our customers. And how could we forget our brand new Splash’n Dash Dog Wash! Having this in our store has allowed us to better serve our pet parent customers, too.

Q: How has the community responded to your new location?

A: The support from our community has been absolutely amazing from day one. We have heard so many positive comments from customers, which has really made all of the work worthwhile! We look forward to continue serving them for years to come in our new space.
